Meet Dr. Melissa Young

True healthcare is treatment for each patient as a whole, and it is not isolated to any one part of the body. Melissa Young, D.C. believes in treating each patient based on their unique and continually changing musculoskeletal issues. These change with the patient’s overall health concerns and throughout every phase of life, and she is committed to each patient’s individual concerns.

Dr. Young was born to a family of Texans, raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then left for upstate New York to pursue a degree at Syracuse University. She wanted to help patients be proactive about their health, prior to illness or injury, and this philosophy turned her to nutrition and wellness. She earned a B.S. in Nutrition Science and graduated with honors in 2010. After graduating, she worked in healthcare for several years, and had a continued desire to help patients focus on health care rather than sick care. After discovering chiropractic healthcare five years later, she returned to school to continue learning to treat patients using true wellness care.

She graduated from Parker University, cum laude, in 2017 as a Doctor of Chiropractic with a certification in physiotherapy. After graduation, Dr. Young studied at the American Society of Acupuncture in Kansas City and earned her certificate to practice acupuncture in 2020.

In her free time, Dr. Young enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outside, and most recently learning to sew and 3D print new tools and fun kinetic toys.
